HI I have a burning question? after my visit,I was left woundering If the humira does it's job well,How long do u leave it to contact the DLA to say your fit again?? after reading that many people do well on these anti-tnf's but they also have flare,if they get virus/bugs so you have to stop taking them till your better!!!!! has this happened to anyone? do you stop claiming, then re-claim?????

Sorry so many questions I saw on the news that a man had arthiritis but became well and was doing dancing lessonsBlink he was still claiming and got sent to court, left paying alot back! now it's people like that who give the rest of us such a hard time, but I don't want to become complacent eitherConfused not sure how he became so much better in first placeHuh

I saw another article in the Daily Mirror Corinne. A man who has had RA for year was caught refreeing a football match and was chucked off all his benefits and ordered to pay some back. Again, it didn't mention what drugs he was on or why he was so mobile and active. This is what worries me. Some days I think I just can't keep up with work anymore but think about taking the risk of giving up work until some improvement but just daren't take the chance.

Oh Corinne-that is such a difficult question you pose, particularly with the nature of the disease in which we can feel 'much better' one week and then like death warmed up the next. And can you imagine the insufferable hassle of saying to them "Hey-I feel better" and then they drop or stop the money and then next week it's "Hey---I feel awful again" The reply being "well I'm sorry but you will to reapply again!!!"
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

a very difficult issue, this...........................I walk my dogs every day because I HAVE to, whether I feel able to do so or not! And there would be days when we walk quite a long way...and others when they get out of the car and I don't. My disease isn't particularly well controlled, so I vary from day to day, what's the betting if I was under investigation they'd choose the better days???RollEyes I try to keep a very detailed diary so if an investigation ever happens, I do have SOME "evidence" with which to defend myself......I hope! Hi ! I read in the Daily Mail that the man who was dancing had a hip replacement. He hadn't told DLA and he was fit now.Think it said he had OA. Kathleen Mc.

HI Thanks for all reply's

I suppose given that this is an unpredictable conditon, I can go with the keeping a dairy,I did start one at the begining! at least thats something to present if need be, I suppose having been investigated Im a little concerned and although friends and relative's say there is nothing to worry about, I guess I just doThumbDown

Lylie.... I also have a small dog, which I have walked when I'v been in so much pain, but as you rightly put "I HAVE TOO" and this was one of the question's I was asked about! also I do have a husband/children that could do this (in reality It's left to me!) also as he is small I can get away with "he gets his exercise in the garden"

Julie... I have thought that I can't go on working too!, but the alternitve is claiming more and not much satisfaction!! so I plod on as much as possible, but do have to give in from time to time, luckly I have an undrestanding boss(or maybe just scared) LOL

Thanks for the reasuranceBlushing Im sure that when the steriods wear off I want feel so guiltyBlushing
